International Education Week
[IEW] is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the
U.S. Department of Education to recognize the global exchange
environment between the USA and other countries.
During
November 14 -18, BRIDGE countries celebrated IEW by hosting events
including seminars, youth summits, webcasts and discussions. This
page highlights events and represents the committment BRIDGE countries have to global exchange and collaboration. For more

iEARN Bangladesh: On November 18th iEARN Bangladesh, in partnership with NACEL Open Door organized a seminar entitled, "Cultural Exchange Promotes Global Education,"
in observance of IEW. The seminar was held at Nural Amin Hall at
the Bangladesh Institute of Management in Dhaka. BRIDGE Master Trainer,
Dr. Arifa Rahman, delivered the keynote speech to an enthusiastic
audience including Mr. Lutfur Rhaman, MP - The Honorable State
Minister, Minister of NGO Affairs: Chief Guest Syed Margub Morshed,
Ex-Chairman of the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regularity Commission:
Special Guest Mohammad Shahidul Alam, Director General,
Bangladesh Institute of Administration and Management Foundation.

iEARN Nepal celebrated
International Education Week with art exhibits, stories, discussions

Reported by iEARN India Country Coordinator, Dr. Sunita Bhagwat: In November, iEARN India joined Door
Step an organization which is dedicated
to provide opportunities to learn for less privileged
children. The organization converted a bus into a moving
classroom with a blackboard and seating. Approximately 30 children, ages
4 to 14, along with educators and facilitators drove the bus to various homes. The students prepared a few poems and a skit in
Marathi. After, children were divided into
groups to make Origami. Each of the children made a Bishop |

Global Connections & Exchange Program (GCE) is made possible through support and funding from the US State
Department's (DOS) Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA). It
is a part of iEARN-USA's BRIDGE project which is committed to
connecting students and teachers in the US to those in countries with
significant Muslim populations |
