GCE Program Partners
iEARN partners with a number of organizations and institutions to
leverage complementary interests and skills. The following is a list of
organizations that have partnered with iEARN on the GCE Project:
1. iEARN
The International Education and Resource Network, is a nonprofit,
global community of more than 20,000 K-12 schools and youth
organizations 110+ countries. Founded in 1988, iEARN pioneers online
collaborative education for the purpose of enhancing learning and
connecting teachers and youth to make a difference in the world by
empowering them to work together on educational projects. The GCE project is a collaborative
project between iEARN-USA and iEARN country programs in Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Pakistan, Syria, UAE, the United States, and Uzbekistan. Teachers and students from Algeria,
Bangladesh, India, Jordan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Nepal, Saudi Arabia,
Tunisia, and Yemen were once part of GCE and continue to participate in
iEARN progrects. For further information,

2. The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, Youth Division
The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) fosters
mutual understanding between the United States and other countries
through international educational and training programs. The bureau
does so by promoting personal, professional, and institutional ties
between private citizens and organizations in the United States and
abroad, as well as by presenting U.S. history, society, art and culture
in all of its diversity to overseas audiences. The GCE program is
managed through the Office of Citizen Exchange's Youth Programs
Division.
3. The Copen Family Fund
CFF is a private family foundation dedicated to empowering youth
to make a meaningful contribution to the health and welfare of people
and the planet.
4. The Hariri Foundation
The Hariri Foundation was founded in 1979 by His Excellency Prime
Minister Rafic Hariri in Sidon, and has since expanded it's presence in
Lebanon with offices in Beirut, Tripoli and Bekaa. The Hariri
Foundation is a non-profit institution that was formed in response to a
dire national need following the devastating civil war in Lebanon. The
mission of the Hariri Foundation is assist in the formation of
educational development and to enable and realize educational
opportunities for young Lebanese. The foundation supports students
regardless of religious or dominational affiliation. The Hariri
Foundation also maintains offices in in Paris, London, and Washington
DC in order to keep in close contact with students who have joined
universities in Western Europe, North Africa, Canada and the United
States.
5. Private Individuals
iEARN would like to acknowledge and thank the numerous private
individuals that have lent their support to this program. Your support
is especially important in facilitating participation by countries not
supported by the initial grant.
