iEARN will be at the Channel 13 Celebration of Teaching and Learning Conference in New York on March 23-24, 2007. The theme for this year is "Science and Global Awareness" and attendees include former Vice President Al Gore and NBC' Tim Russert. iEARN students from Ireland, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Cameroon, UK, Israel and the US will participate in discussions on the PEARL World Youth News Project. Also special guest, U.S. Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings, will address the issue of technology in
education, and is scheduled to speak Friday, March 23, 1-2 pm.
Students will also conduct presentations on iEARN's YouthCaN and Solar Cooking Projects. iEARN partners from Adobe and National Geographic Society’s, My Wonderful World Campaign, will also present and share their collaboration with the iEARN network. workshop, "Best Practices in International Collaboration" at the
National Association of Independent Schools Conference in Denver, CO,

host the 14th Annual iEARN International Conference and 11th Youth
Summit
(July 21 - 26, 2007) in Cairo! Please join us for professional

The Council on Foundations has announced the winners of its inaugural Critical Impact Awards, which recognize family foundation-funded projects that have had a demonstrated impact on the common good and serve as models for others in philanthropy. This year's winners include the Copen Family Fund, which supports efforts to encourage world peace through its International Education and Resource Network (iEARN) project.
