YES Exchange Student Visits New York City:  On Thursday, Feb 22nd Pakistan student - Muhammed Talha - visited New York with his USA host mom.  Muhammed lives with his host family in Colorado where he'll attend a US public high school for at least one year under the YES Program.  During his visit, Muhmmed met with iEARN teacher Lynn Rosen, facilitator of the LEWIN online project and a project that Muhammed has been most active in.  Lynn and her husband guided Muhammed and his host mom around NYC attending a Knicks game at Madison Square Garden, a trip to NYC's theater district to catch a show, and walking around for little gifts and mementos of New York.

Upon leaving, Muhammed shared with Lynn, "This was the best time in my life." Lynn wrote, "We hated to see him go. Even though we have a small apartment it was filled with love this weekend.  As Brooklynites we made sure that he saw Coney Island, the Statue Of Liberty, the World Trade Center, Wall Street, Radio City, and much more.  We had a wonderful time. [Muhammed] is the most adorable, well mannered young man. This memory will stay in my heart forever."

The YES Program is made possible through funding from the Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. For more information on this program from the Department of State, click here. Picture left: Muhammed with Lynn Rosen on the streets of Manhattan.
