The journey you have travelled through this CD is just one piece of an ongoing process of developing a global classroom -- one that supports students to learn with, rather than simply about their peers worldwide.  Through their work in iEARN, students are better positioned to carry collaborative models into their adult lives.  They have the habit of mind to go to the source in dealing with problems they face -- locally, regionally or internationally -- rather  than to the 30 second sound bite.  When they hear of a crisis or issue in the world, they feel empowered to reach out, and will think collaboration rather than confrontation.  We encourage you to continue sharing your own learning as you progress through this process, so that others may learn from your pioneering work as a teacher to build bridges, improve education, and make a difference in the world.

Participation in iEARN is an ongoing cycle. As you successfully complete a project you find other projects you'd like to join and other iEARN activities you'd like to participate in. Continue to use the steps throughout the CD as your guide and continue to share your ideas and experiences in the Teachers Forum and Forum for Professional Development and Resources.

After successful participation in an iEARN project what comes next

Repeat I-VII by having your students participate in another project or by having successive classes participate in the one you have just finished.

Facilitate workshops to involve other teachers

Share what you have learned through having a class participate in an iEARN project by having a workshop to involve other teachers. You may also choose to encourage other teachers in your school to have students participate in iEARN and serve as a mentor to them.

Here are some tools to help you do both:

Sample PowerPoint presentations:
You may use these and modify for your purposes.
